Discounts are commonly seen in:
Multiply the original price by the discount percentage, then subtract that amount from the original price. Or use the formula: Final Price = Original Price × (1 - Discount % ÷ 100).
When stacking discounts, they are usually applied sequentially, not added together. For example, 20% off then 10% off is not 30% off total. The second discount applies to the already-reduced price.
Discount percentage is a portion of the original price (e.g., 25% off), while discount amount is a fixed dollar value (e.g., $10 off). This calculator uses percentage discounts.
